For many people, learning a new instrument can be very exciting, but also challenging. We've compiled our top 5 tips for beginner harpejji players.
1.Crank up the volume!
Harpejjis have sensitive pickups which allow you to play quietly or loudly depending on how hard you tap, strum or pluck the strings. In order to minimize your effort we recommend turning up your harpejji and amp volume so you have a much wider dynamic range.
2. Play around with your tone.
All harpejjis come equipped with a tone knob (to the right of the volume knob). Turning the tone knob clockwise makes the tone bright and turning the knob counter-clock wise gives you a darker tone. Experiment with tone to find a sound that you like best.
3. Learn the basics.
Now that your harpejji tone is set to your preference, it's time to start playing. Our harpejji YouTube channel features a playlist compiling our beginner tutorials. The videos cover harpejji basics such as fretboard layout, tuning, chords, scales and much more.
4. Learn major and minor chord positions.
Learning major and minor chord positions is a fundamental skill for piano, guitar, and yes, harpejji as well. Luckily for you, the harpejji makes it incredibly easy to memorize chord shapes. Once you learn one chord voicing you can play all chords with that voicing. Simply move the chord shape left, right, up, or down to transpose each chord. The harpejji chord booklet is a great resource for learning your chord positions.
5. Learn a song.
This is the fun part! Now that you have your fundamentals out of the way, it's time to put it all together and start playing music! Our Youtube channel has several song tutorials to help get you going. Try learning chord progressions of your favorite songs. Practice makes perfect!

Stupidly basic question: Is there an on button? I just got my harpejji and plugged it in and want to try some tunes but nothing happens when I press the strings.

To Whom It May Concern:
Can you please check on the content of the recommended playlist for song tutorials? When I look, I only see one video for, “Harpejji Playing Basics” and then two holders for Deleted Videos and two space holders for Private Videos.
Thank you for your time.
